Rick Speers

A qualified plumber by trade, Rick has been involved in the plumbing and civil industries for 30 years and offers diverse experience to the Oliver Kelly collective.

During his career he has worked in Tasmania, Queensland, Victoria and the Northern Territory on multi-million dollar commercial and civil projects as a plumber, supervisor, estimator/project manager, self-employed contractor and highly skilled excavator and plant operator. Rick’s career path also branched out into civil and mining projects where he worked his way from final trim excavator operator on a tailings dam lift in Jabiru Northern Territory to civil supervisor on the same site. His experience working for many highly respected companies around Australia has allowed him to accumulate a wealth of industry knowledge.

Rick joined Oliver Kelly in 2014 as Civil Construction Manager, leading the plumbing and civil division to become an integral part of the business, then becoming a director in 2020.
