About the project
We were approached by Taswater to work on a new dam spillway and weir on Flinders Island.
This was our biggest civil formwork project that we’ve undertaken thus far, and we were proud to be involved. We increased the dam's capacity from 40ML to 85ML and worked with the designers to build a damn that can perform to a 1:1000 year flood event. The dam embankment is 10m tall and 110m in length and provides improved drinking water security for the Flinders Island residents.
